Agronomic and Service Disclaimer

This page explains what the information in Cropstalk is, who decides it, and its limits. It is part of our Terms of Service.

1What Cropstalk is

Cropstalk is software. It helps an agricultural advisor follow farms and plots, build a weekly program for each plot, and send it to the farmer's phone. It keeps the history of each plot. Cropstalk does not replace your advisor. We provide the software only. Our team does not provide advisory services to farmers.

2Who decides the program

2.1Your advisor sets every value of the weekly program:

  • the irrigation dose and duration, with the matching volume for the plot;
  • the fertilization products and their doses;
  • the foliar treatment products and their doses.

2.2As provider of the software, we do not choose these values, and we do not calculate the irrigation dose or duration of a program. The application shows you the program your advisor submitted.

2.3You, the farmer, decide how and when to apply the program on your plot.

3Why results can differ

Results on a plot depend on many factors, for example:

  • weather, which can change quickly;
  • soil, water quality and water salinity;
  • crop, variety and growth stage;
  • the irrigation equipment and its condition;
  • the quality of the products and the way they are applied;
  • pests, diseases and other events on the farm.

The program also depends on the information recorded about the plot, such as its area, spacing, drip setup and water salinity. If this information is wrong or out of date, the program can be unsuitable. Keep it accurate and tell your advisor about changes.

4No guarantee of results

We do not guarantee any yield, quality, saving of water or inputs, control of a pest or disease, or any other result.

5Products and safety

5.1Before you use a fertilizer or a plant protection product, read its label and follow its instructions, its safety rules and the rules that apply where you farm.

5.2If a product, a dose or a value in the program seems wrong to you, do not apply it. Ask your advisor first.

5.3In case of an accident with a product, follow the instructions on its label and contact the emergency services.

6Delivery of the program

A program appears in the application after your advisor submits it and you refresh the plot. Before you act, check that you see the program for the current week and the right plot.

7Computed information

If a screen shows information computed by Cropstalk, for example from weather data for the location of a plot, this information is indicative only. It is not the program and does not replace your advisor's decision.

8Weather information

Weather information comes from third-party sources. It can be incomplete, late or inaccurate, and local conditions on your plot can differ.

9Plant disease identification

Results of the disease identification feature are automated suggestions from a photo. They can be wrong. They are not a diagnosis and not a treatment recommendation. Ask your advisor before you act.

10For advisors

10.1Each program you build is your professional advice. Check it before you submit it.

10.2You are responsible for holding any qualification, authorisation or insurance that the law requires for your activity, including for advice on plant protection products where the law requires it.

10.3The product catalogs in the dashboard help you select products. We do not guarantee that they are complete or up to date for the place where your farmers work. Check each product's authorisation and label before you select it.
