Key points
- We process the data needed to run Cropstalk: your account, your plots, the programs your advisor builds, and the updates and photos you send.
- If you are a farmer linked to an advisor, your advisor sees your plots and their programs, and may also see your stage updates with their photos.
- Some providers process data for us, for example to show maps and to obtain weather data.
- You can ask to access, correct or delete your data. You can ask for the deletion of your account as explained on our Account and Data Deletion page.
1Who we are and what this policy covers
1.1Cropstalk is published by iFarming Solutions SARL, a limited liability company (société à responsabilité limitée, SARL) registered in the Tunisian National Register of Enterprises (Registre National des Entreprises) under unique identifier 1771859S, with its registered office at Technopole El Ghazala, Raoued 2088, Ariana, Tunisia ("we", "us").
1.2Privacy contact: info@cropstalk.com, or by post to iFarming Solutions, Technopole El Ghazala, Raoued 2088, Ariana, Tunisia.
1.3This policy covers:
- the Cropstalk website;
- the Cropstalk web dashboard for agricultural advisors;
- the Cropstalk mobile application for farmers on Android, available on Google Play (application identifier com.outsider.cropstalk).
1.4Cropstalk connects advisors and farmers. An advisor builds a weekly program for each plot. The farmer sees it in the application.
2The personal data we process
2.1Farmer account
- Phone number. It identifies your account and lets you sign in.
- Records of the verification codes sent to your phone number.
- Full name.
- Country.
- Password, if you set one. We store it in hashed form, not in readable form.
- The link between your account and your advisor.
- Account status (verified or not), date of creation, date of last sign-in, and dates of updates.
2.2Plots
- The location of each plot: the boundary you draw on the map and its central point (latitude and longitude).
- Place names found from this location: locality, city, delegation, country and address, in French, Arabic and English.
- Plot details: name, area, planting density, spacing between rows and between trees, crop, variety, planting year, number of plants and missing plants, drip irrigation details, water salinity, spray volume, number of rounds, crop stages and plot status.
- Plot photos.
2.3Programs
The weekly programs that your advisor builds for your plots: for each day, irrigation dose, duration and total volume, fertilization and foliar treatment products with their doses, comments, and whether a task is marked as done.
2.4Stage updates
The crop stage you select, the photo you send, the date, and the account that sent it.
2.5Device and notifications
A notification token for each device on which you use the application, with a device field and the date the token was last used. The notifications we send to your account.
2.6Weather data and computed values for your plots
Our systems obtain weather data for the location of your plots: temperature, humidity, rain and solar radiation. They store, for each plot, values computed from this weather data and from the plot details. In the current version, these values do not set your program. Your advisor sets the program.
2.7Sign-in sessions
Technical tokens that keep you signed in.
2.8Past subscriptions and payments
Earlier versions of the application offered paid plans to farmers. We no longer charge farmers. If your account had a plan, the following records may still be stored:
- Your plan, its status, start and end dates and duration.
- For each payment: order reference, amount, currency, accepted payment methods, the reference given by the payment provider, status, plan and date of confirmation, and the response sent by the payment provider.
- The referral or promo code entered at sign-up, if any, and whether it was used.
The payment provider Konnect processed these payments.
2.9Plant disease identification
Where the application offers plant disease identification and you use it: the crop you select, the photo you send for identification, and the result returned.
2.10Analysis documents
Where the application offers it: the soil, water or other analysis documents you attach to a plot.
2.11Advisor and administrator accounts
Data needed to give access to the web dashboard and to keep a record of changes, such as the name of the person who changed a stage update and the date.
2.12Website visitors
- Technical data that any website receives to deliver its pages, such as IP address and browser information.
2.13Messages to us
If you write to us, we receive your message and your contact details.
3Where the data comes from
- From you, when you create an account, register plots, send updates and photos, or write to us.
- From your advisor, who builds the programs for your plots.
- From our systems, which create account records, tokens, logs and computed values.
- From providers: place names from Google Maps Platform for the location of your plots, and weather data from Open-Meteo for that location.

10Children
The services are intended for people aged 18 or over. They are not designed for children. If you think a child has given us personal data, contact us so that we can delete it.
11Automated decisions
Your advisor decides your program. We do not make decisions about you based only on automated processing that produce legal effects for you or affect you in a similarly significant way.
Where the application offers plant disease identification, this feature produces automated suggestions from a plant photo. It does not decide anything about you.
12Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The new version shows its version number and effective date.
